It is a non-invasive ventilation strategy for newborns with infant respiratory distress syndrome. It is one of the methods by which continuous positive airway pressure is delivered to a spontaneously breathing newborn to maintain lung volumes during expiration. With this method blended and humidified oxygenis delivered via short bi-nasal prongs or a nasal mask and pressure in the circuit is maintained by immersing the distal end of the expiratory tubing in the water.

The Nidek Fetal Doppler is a hand-held ultrasound transducer used to detect the heartbeat of a fetus for prenatal care. Sometimes called a Baby Doppler, the Fetal Doppler, is used to detect Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) after about 12 weeks of pregnancy. It can be used in hospitals, clinics or at home.
